Owner
Michele is an expert colorist and stylist, and has been for many years, before becoming salon owner in 2005. She loves when her clients are excited to be here and leave with smiles on their faces time and time and again. In addition to providing a relaxing space for her clients, she also provides a pleasant and safe work environment for her staff. When Michele is not styling hair or managing the salon, she is researching the best products for the salon to offer its clientele. The #1 Newbury Street South Salon value that aligns with Michele’s personal values is communication. She works to educate her clients on how to do their hair and what products will help them achieve the best results.
Now, after a fulfilling career, Michele has entered a new and well-earned chapter:
retirement in the beautiful Azores. While she may no longer be working behind the chair, her legacy of warmth, professionalism, and excellence continues to inspire those who worked with her and the many clients whose lives she touched.
Shannon Isaacs
STYLIST + SALON MANAGER
Shannon is a seasoned color specialist with over 30 years of experience in the salon industry. Her passion for her craft drives her to continually stay updated with the latest techniques and trends, ensuring her clients always receive the most innovative and personalized color solutions. In addition to her professional expertise, Shannon is known for her warm personality and dedication to her clients' satisfaction.
Now, Shannon is proud to introduce her own LLC,
The Suite Spot, where she is renting a private suite and offering a more personalized and boutique salon experience. This exciting new venture allows her to blend her professional expertise with a warm, one-on-one atmosphere that clients truly appreciate.
When she's not perfecting the latest color trends, Shannon enjoys exploring new destinations and cultures through her travels. At home, she cherishes quality time with her family.
Lisa Eldredge
STYLIST + DR. HAUSCHKA CERTIFIED ESTHETICIAN
Lisa is a certified colorist, specializing in Wella International and Aveda color. She has been with NSS since its beginning. Her passion is cutting hair, and she can perfect anything from long layers to blunt bobs. With her talent, vision, and willingness to listen, she makes clients look and feel their best. Lisa is also Dr. Hauschka Certified to help with your skin care needs. Her education includes Bumble & Bumble Haircutting Academy in NYC, and Toni & Guy Advanced Cutting in Boston.
Now, she’s embarking on an exciting new chapter as the owner of her own LLC,
Sea Glass Hair, where she is renting a private suite and continuing to offer the personalized, high-quality service her clients know and love.
George Pellegren
STYLIST
Born and raised in Connecticut, George embarked on his salon career in Hartford, where he trained under the expert guidance of Gervacio, an internationally acclaimed artist for Redken. This early mentorship provided George with a solid foundation in advanced techniques and a deep appreciation for the art of hairstyling. George’s journey took him through several notable salons before he found his home on the Cape.
Now, George is excited to begin a new chapter at Aveda Cape Cod in Festival Plaza in Hyannis, where he looks forward to continuing his commitment to excellence and creativity in a vibrant new setting.
Outside of the salon, George indulges in his love for fly fishing, often finding tranquility and inspiration in the serene waters of the Cape. His varied interests make him a unique and valued member of our team.
Kathleen Englert
STYLIST
Kathleen is a dedicated and passionate professional hairstylist and colorist, known for creating stunning transformations that leave her clients glowing with confidence. Specializing in women's haircuts and color, Kathleen is an expert in modern techniques such as balayage, lived-in color, blonding, and Ombré styles. Kathleen’s love for all things beauty began early in her life, inspired by years spent accompanying her mother to the salon. This childhood spark grew into a lifelong passion, which she pursued through professional training at Blaine The Beauty School in Hyannis, MA, and later at Paul Mitchell The School Costa Mesa. Graduating at the top of her class through their prestigious Phase 2 advanced learning program, Kathleen built her foundation on mastery and a commitment to excellence.
Now, Kathleen is excited to continue her career after relocating to the Upper Cape, where she looks forward to bringing her artistry and warm client care to a new community.
Cassidy Parker
FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE
Cassidy can be found answering the phone, greeting clients and scheduling appointments. When not at the desk, she is assisting the stylists by ensuring there are always fresh towels, plenty of capes, as well as keeping the salon clean and tidy. Her future involves graduating from the University of New England followed by cosmetology studies. Field hockey and tennis keep Cassidy busy after classes. Cassidy unwinds by going to the beach with friends and watching sunsets.
After studying abroad in Morocco and traveling through Europe, Cassidy is spending this summer enjoying the beauty of Cape Cod. She’s keeping busy babysitting and working with Beach Plum Chef Catering, all while soaking up some well-deserved downtime at home.
While we’ll certainly miss her around the salon this summer, we’re excited for all that lies ahead—and we hope to welcome her back in a couple of years once she earns her cosmetology license and begins the next chapter of her journey in the beauty industry.
Elaine Peluso - Farris
FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE
Elaine is a proud native of the Cape, Elaine was raised in Eastham and later moved to Chatham after marrying her husband, Bill. Together, they raised their children in Chatham before settling in the historic charm of Yarmouth port. Her deep-rooted connection to the Cape is evident in everything she does. Outside of work, Elaine can often be found enjoying the scenic bogs and beaches of the Cape, where she runs her beloved dogs, Whiskey and Bourbon.
This summer, Elaine is taking a well-deserved break to fully enjoy all that Cape Cod has to offer—from sun-filled walks to quality time with family and friends.
Though she’ll be missed around the salon, we’re excited for her to enjoy a season of rest and relaxation in the place she loves most.
